Staying Connected
Staying Connected & Celebrating Our Children
At our setting, communication and connection with families are at the heart of what we do. We believe in celebrating each child’s journey and keeping parents informed and involved every step of the way. Here’s how we do it.

Celebrating Growth and Achievements
Star of the Term
Each term, we celebrate a child who has shown outstanding progress, kindness, effort, or development. This is our way of recognising personal growth and encouraging positive behaviour.
Child of the Month
Every month, we highlight a child who has stood out for something special: whether it’s trying something new, helping others, or showing perseverance. It’s a lovely way to build confidence and involve families in celebrating their little one’s achievements.
Monthly Topic
Each month we explore a new topic through play, activities, books, and discussion. This could be anything from seasons and nature to feelings and friendship. We share these topics with families so you can extend the learning at home, too!
Communicating with Families
We value open, honest, and regular communication with our families. Here’s how we keep in touch:
WhatsApp Group
We use a dedicated WhatsApp group to share quick updates, daily reminders, and snapshots of activities. It’s a convenient way to stay connected and see what your children have been enjoying.
Monthly Email Updates
Each month, we send a short personalised email to families, sharing what the children have been learning, exploring, and enjoying. It’s a meaningful way to stay up to date with topics, activities, and special moments from our setting.
Termly Newsletters
At the start of each term, we share a newsletter with key updates, highlights from the previous term, upcoming themes, and important dates. It’s a great overview of what’s happening and what to expect.
Progress Meetings
We hold three meetings a year with your child’s key worker to chat about progress, celebrate milestones, and discuss any support they may need. It’s a relaxed and personal way to stay connected to their development.
